We've already seen an open-sided wardrobe that has been built into a freestanding wall, but here, a closed-door version demonstrates how beautiful, practical and effective a more traditional style can be.
When it comes to installing the best bedroom lighting, there has to be consideration given to the simplest, cheapest and most effective style of illumination; natural light! Whether this means replacing outdated window dressings with sheer, gauzy drapes in summer or even negating them altogether (if there are no neighbours to worry about), maximising the light flow into a bedroom will allow for a far more understated style of rejuvenation, not to mention better sleeping habits.
Who says they’re only good for firewood? These old crates are casual, cool and bring in a rustic/vintage touch. And let’s not overlook the fact that their dark hues become quite prominent in this otherwise light-toned bedroom.
However, far too many people worldwide see this furniture piece as nothing more than a simple landing pad; a place of rest for a night lamp, a book or two, and clock/cellular phone, etc. Why is this such an interior design sin? Because they don’t seem to realise that a bedside table, in addition to helping with storage, has the power to introduce a world of style into even the most boring bedroom.
