Incredibly durable, bamboo is less likely to gape than other solid woods. Usually pre-treated by the manufacturer, bamboo flooring can be stained or left in its natural colour, ensuring you a wide array of options.
Hectares and hectares of fresh, green fields being glimpsed through the window; cows and chickens peacefully trotting around outside, adding to the homely ambience… these images are synonymous (in our creative minds, at least) with good old country style kitchens, conjuring up a vision of home-made bread, warm coffee and a simple way of living.
U-shaped kitchen designs were once the epitome of a covetable kitchen layout, but it's all about the L now and to that end, homeowners have been experimenting, to make this layout a little more custom and personal. A tried and tested way to add extra pizazz to an otherwise functional room is to add a healthy dose of colour and L-shaped installations soak up unusual hues like a sponge.
Fortunately, the green fields and farm animals are not prerequisites for enjoying your very own country kitchen – and seeing as the country style is becoming more and more popular (especially now in 2018), a lot of kitchen planners have been tasked with giving modern kitchens a ‘country’ makeover (without physically moving said kitchen out to the country, of course).
