Who said that your bedside tables needed to be identical? In moving away from the norm, this enchanting example ensures a bit of character, plus unique style, by having two pieces that are clearly not the same.
It could be to save on floor space or for purely aesthetic reasons, but the fact remains that a lot of bedside tables are wall-mounted. Having them seemingly protrude out of the wall as seen here also ensures a clean, graceful look.
