With main lighting in place, it's time to think about what interior designers refer to as 'layered lighting' options. Essentially, what this means is having a number of different ways to add a little practicality or even ambience, so when bright ceiling lights will be a little too much, task lighting comes into its own.
We love the way that every inch of space has been put to good use, with awkward little niches being turned into storage cubby holes and shelving areas, but there is an extra nuance of genius at work here, in the sense of proving that in terms of built-in wardrobes, doors are not essential. Negating doors can actually lead to a wonderfully organic and easy to navigate wardrobe area that benefits from great light flow.
